HELLO!

My name is Mimi Young, and I’m a Taiwanese Canadian animist diviner, spirit medium (modern Tongji and Wu Puo), practical consulting sorceress, and occultist. I’m also a creativity facilitator and SEO copywriter, and inheritor of Gongfu Tea culture. As the founder of Ceremonie, I offer occult education, psychic Shamanic Readings and Five Elements Zodiac Readings, and hold space through my online witches coven.

In ancient Chinese traditions, this multi-disciplinary metaphysical practice is called 巫—Wu or Wuism. My work stands at the intersection of animism and Taoist wisdom, woven into courses on practical witchcraft, cartomancy, and divination, including the I Ching. I also create made-to-order occultic skincare—crafted in accordance with occult science to enhance intuition—alongside a collection of spiritual supplies and Aura Care.

I have collaborated with brands including goop, Almost 30, Salem Witchcraft Festival, Spirit House Collective, and Tokyo Smoke, among others.

Beyond identifying as a person with extra-sensory gifts (sometimes called psy skills), I am also a trained artist-designer, and have published the second edition of my artist’s book, A Tea Stronger Than Death: Poems of Hurt and Healing While On Sacred Buffalo Guardian Mountain, written while attending a 5-week artist’s residency at Banff Centre for Arts + Creativity.

This commitment remains steadfast, even as I navigate the demands of everyday life, including providing for my family.

I currently am residing as a guest on the ancestral traditional lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations – what is otherwise known as Vancouver, Canada.
